Appeal following fatal collision involving motorcycle and pedestrian

We are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a collision involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian in Shaldon.

At around 1.30pm on Friday 3 July, emergency services were called to attend the A379 Torquay Road, Shaldon, to a report of a road traffic collision involving a silver-coloured motorcycle and a pedestrian. 

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the pedestrian - a woman in her 60s from Taunton - died at the scene. 

Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Unit would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road remained closed for collision investigation work to be carried out.
